Don't Worry, Be Happy?

(best quote, in my humble opinion)- Those who can laugh without cause have either found the true meaning of happiness or have gone stark raving mad.
~Norm Papernick

Happiness often sneaks in through a door you didn't know you left open.
~John Barrymore

The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet.
~James Openheim

Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want.
~Margaret Young

A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes.
~Hugh Downs

Happiness is a conscious choice, not an automatic response.
~Mildred Barthel.

If you want happiness for an hour take a nap.
If you want happiness for a day go fishing.
If you want happiness for a month get married.
If you want happiness for a year inherit a fortune.
If you want happiness for a lifetime help someone else.
- Chinese proverb

Look, I don't really want to wax philosophic, but I will say that if you're alive you've got to flap your arms and legs, you got to jump around a lot, you got to make a lot of noise, because life is the very opposite of death. And therefore, as I see it, if you're quiet, you're not living. You've got to be noisy and colorful and lively.
~Mel Brooks

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
~Dalai Lama

Happiness held is the seed; happiness shared is the flower.
~Author Unknown

Whoever is happy will make others happy, too.
~Mark Twain

You cannot always have happiness, but you can always give happiness. ~Author Unknown

You will never be happier than you expect. To change your happiness, change your expectation. ~Bette Davis

Happiness is the feeling you're feeling when you want to keep feeling it.
~Author Unknown

There is no cosmetic for beauty like happiness.
~Lady Blessington

We are no longer happy so soon as we wish to be happier. (LAME)
~Walter Savage Landor

AND the LAMEST but funniest Quote goes to....

"The best vitamin to be a happy person is B1."
~Author Unknown

Get it? No?

How can I be happy when things are not going my way?
  • Injured my thumb while trying to save my own life which results in the most painful pain I have ever felt during the minor surgery
  • Lost my belongings(wallet, phone). Was stolen while playing futsal. IC, Driving license, contacts, pictures, all GONE!! So much of hassle, procedures and the INEFFICIENT policemen/women.
Regardless, let's look at it positively cuz I am still alive, I'll get a new phone, and most importantly,
I HAVE AN EXTENSION FOR MY ASSIGNMENT!!!! YEAY!!!!! =)

Finally, my personal quote :

When ppl ard u can feel ur happiness, they will be happy too. Share the happiness but if possible, face sadness positively without affecting the ppl ard u.

Push Yourself (Jap Fishermen)

The Japanese have always loved fresh fish. But the water close to Japan has not held many fish for decades. So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went further than ever. The further the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring the fish. If the return trip took more time, the fish were not fresh. To solve this problem, fish companies installed freezers on their boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers allowed the boats to go further and stay longer. However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen fish. And they did not like the taste of frozen fish. The frozen fish brought a lower price. So, fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin. After a little thrashing around, they were tired, dull, and lost their fresh-fish taste. The fishing industry faced an impending crisis! But today, they get fresh-tasting fish to Japan .

How did they manage? To keep the fish tasting fresh, the Japanese fishing companies still put the fish in the tanks but with a small shark. The fish are challenged and hence are constantly on the move. The challenge they face keeps them alive and fresh!

Have you realized that some of us are also living in a pond but most of the time tired and dull ? Basically in our lives, sharks are new challenges to keep us active. If you are steadily conquering challenges, you are happy. Your challenges keep you energized. Don't create success and revel in it in a state of inertia. You have the resources, skills and abilities to make a difference. Put a shark in your tank and see how far you can really go!

THINK

If you think you are beaten, you're,
If you think you dare not, you don't,
If you like to win, but you think you can't,
It's almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you've lost,
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will.
It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a price

Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or the faster man,
But sooner or later, the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can

Goodbye Rafa!

Thanks for all your services and commitment throughout the years. I know that LFC can't give you the necessary financial budget to spend, and I know they gave you false hope. I won't blame you for Robbie Keane's departure but I will always remember how you brought Xabi Alonso to this club and how you transformed him to be one of the best players in his position. I will also certainly remember how your decisions made Xabi forced his way out of the club he loved to Real Madrid. I will always wonder why you substituted Torres when there's still time to grab a point or 3 points. Sometime I just dunno what is going in ur head. I'm sure Stevie G would agree to this statement cuz everytime Torres was sub-ed during important games, Gerrard would scratch the back of his head in disbelief.

I will remember the Champions League Final 2005 forever, how we defied all odds to win it! I will remember how we made the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man Utd and even Barcelona look like kids on the pitch. But it's all gone wrong for you, Rafa! Zonal marking is predictable, the qualities in certain players you brought in are predictable. However, how well some players did after leaving LFC was unpredictable. Look at Bellamy, Keane, Crouchy, Cisse and even Hyypia. One most important thing that is unpredictable is you, Rafa. Sometimes it seems like u got it all right, all spot on. Sometimes it's all wrong!

It's ok Rafa, I forgive you. We are all humans, and you are not Jose Mourinho. I will remember you for all the successes you brought to us, and I hope you will bring away the LFC culture with you. Everything done is for the benefits of us, the supporters and the club. I wish you a great farewell, Rafael Benitez.
